Total Knee Replacement

A total knee arthroplasty, or total knee replacement, is an inpatient procedure completed when a patient’s knee is damaged beyond repair, most commonly because of arthritis. During the procedure, we replace the injured bones and cartilage on the surface of the knee with metal parts that create an artificial joint. This is a procedure for those experiencing severe pain that prevents them from performing daily functions and that has not responded to nonsurgical treatment.

Total Hip Replacement

If you are experiencing hip pain that is hampering your mobility and has not responded to nonsurgical treatments, such as physical therapy and medication, a total hip replacement, or total hip arthroplasty, may be right for you. During this procedure, which is often used on patients with arthritis or injury, we replace the injured bone and cartilage with metal replacements, restoring functionality to the hip. This procedure is highly successful and effective.

Arthroscopies

An arthroscopy is a surgical diagnostic tool. We make a tiny incision and use state-of-the-art equipment to produce an image of the musculoskeletal joints. This allows us to better view the cause of pain and discomfort, so we can devise a treatment that will be most beneficial.

Carpal Tunnel Surgery

If you have carpal tunnel, you may experience numbing, pain or weakness in the wrist due to pressure placed on the median nerve, located inside of the wrist. If nonsurgical treatments, such as rest, pain medication and physical therapy, aren’t providing relief, carpal tunnel surgery may be the best option for you. During this procedure, we make a small cut into the ligament on top of the median nerve, which in turn decreases the pressure on the nerve, reducing pain and restoring mobility.

Fracture Care

In the case of severe bone fractures that cannot heal using just a cast, surgery is recommended to place the broken bones into proper position. Fracture surgery involves inserting metal screws or rods into the broken bones to hold them together, and then placing a cast on the injured area so the bones can heal into place.

De Quervain’s Release

De Quervain’s Release is an outpatient surgical procedure used to treat De Quervain’s Tendinosis, which is irritation of the tendons at the bottom of the thumb. During this procedure, we make an incision in the covering of these tendons, which reduces pressure and provides more room for the tendons to move.
